Lucerne, Switzerland

Lucerne was our base for a couple of days. It was rainy at the beginning of the trip, so we just stuck with some local sightseeing. First up, the Musegg wall, which is home to a couple of Highland cattle (which are Scottish, actually). The wall is also home to a large number of jackdaws that have made their nests inside holes in the tower and its walls.

Anytime I see a Shiba I squee, so of course I had to try and get a photo of the one I spotted. Coincidentally it says “Luzern” in the background so it turned out pretty well I think.

We did some walking around Lucerne’s lake, and spotted a family of Greylag geese, a wagtail (sounds like it can be hard to determine what type) and a common coot and its nest.

We also stopped by the two most famous icons of Lucerne - its Lion Monument and the Chapel Bridge.
